Welcome to the Manchester Mission of the Ordinariate of our Lady of Walsingham.
The Mission came into existence in 2011, following the invitation of Pope Benedict XVI to groups of Anglicans to come into the full communion of the Catholic Church.
Our Order of Mass follows the text of ‘Divine Worship’, approved by the Holy See, which is a form of the Roman Rite. It is traditionally Anglican in flavour, and draws on the Book of Common Prayer.
The Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham ensures a permanent and valued place for Anglican Patrimony within the Catholic Church, a place confirmed and strengthened by Pope Francis.
You are very welcome to visit the Manchester Mission, and to become involved in any of our activities.
Yours in Christ,
Fr Andrew Starkie
